When uppercase is useful
Headings and labels, acronyms, form fields that require capitals, codes and reference numbers, legal and technical documents, and short emphasis. Avoid using all capitals for long passages, because they are harder to read and can feel like shouting.
Uppercase vs Capital Case
Uppercase makes every letter a capital. Capital Case only capitalises the first letter of each word. Pick the one that fits, and the result updates as you switch.
Good to know
Some letters change length in capitals in some languages. For example, the German letter ß becomes SS. Your browser handles these rules automatically.
